Due to the recent VMWare vulnerability I’ve needed to patch my hosts.
The software VMware-ESXi-8.0U3g-24859861-depot.zip package can be downloaded from Broadcom (with a support license, or can be found elsewhere). Upload this to your host(s) – I put mine on a shared disk.
Run “esxcli software sources profile list -d /path/to/VMware-ESXi-8.0U3g-24859861-depot.zip”

You’ll need to run “esxcli software profile update -d /path/to/VMware-ESXi-8.0U3g-24859861-depot.zip -p ESXi-8.0U3g-24859861-standard” for the standard install. I’m unsure of the s vs the sg versions.
I then also did the VMTools as well, using “esxcli software vib install -d /path/to/VMware-Tools-13.0.1-core-offline-depot-ESXi-all-24843129.zip”
